The story of the Eagle, the Elk and the Warrior, often told by Native American artist (and former Colorado Senator) Ben Nighthorse Campbell. In the story, a Cheyenne warrior saw an eagle trapped in an elk's antlers. After the man freed the eagle, the eagle thanked him with the gift of a beautiful stallion resembling the colors of the eagle's feathers.
